This Privacy Policy explains how EasyUCR collects, uses and protects your information when you use our Service.

Information we collect

Filing details you provide — your USDOT number, contact name, contact email, and power-unit count.
Account information — if you sign up, your name and email (via Google or email/password sign-in).
Carrier record data — publicly available FMCSA record information we retrieve using your USDOT number to prepare your filing.
Usage data — the pages you view and the steps you take in the filing flow (for example: a USDOT lookup, reaching the fee screen, starting checkout), together with the page that referred you and whether the lookup succeeded. Each event is stored against a random anonymous ID kept in your browser and a session ID that resets after 30 minutes of inactivity. Both are generated at random, mean nothing outside this site, and are not derived from anything about you or your device. We record the country your request came from, and we do not store your IP address.

We do not collect or store your bank account number, routing number, or full card details. Payment for our service fee is processed by PayPal; the government fee is paid by you directly on UCR.gov.

To prepare, validate and pre-fill your UCR filing.
To create and maintain your account and show your filing history.
To process your service-fee payment via our payment provider.
To send you filing-related and support communications.
To improve and secure the Service.

Service providers we share with

PayPal — payment processing for our service fee.
Google Firebase — authentication and secure data storage.
Public carrier-record sources — we look up your USDOT number against the FMCSA public motor-carrier census to prepare your filing.
Google Analytics — aggregate traffic and funnel measurement.
Microsoft Clarity — anonymised usage analytics and session replay, used to find broken or confusing steps in the filing flow.

We do not sell your personal information.

Data security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

Your choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing us. You can also delete your account at any time.

Cookies and local storage

We use essential cookies needed to operate the site and keep you signed in. We also store a small number of values in your browser's local storage: the anonymous and session IDs described above, the page you first arrived on, and your in-progress filing details so you do not lose them if a tab closes. Clearing your site data removes all of it, and you will simply be treated as a new visitor.

Analytics and your right to opt out

We measure how the filing flow performs so we can fix the places carriers get stuck. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, or has Do Not Track enabled, we do not record any usage events from your visit — the site works exactly the same either way, and you do not have to ask us.

Usage events never contain your card, bank, Social Security or EIN details, and never contain your UCR.gov credentials, which we never ask for. Your email address is stored with your order, not in the usage record.
